Randy Hesgard

Randy Hesgard joined the staff of A Better Way Home Boise Idaho Hospice & Palliative Care organization with 38 years of pastoral experience.  Most recently, he was the Spiritual Director for a former hospice organization here in Boise.  He graduated from Walla Walla University with a degree in Religion in 1972 and completed his graduate work at Andrews University with a Masters of Divinity in 1975.

Randy served as a pastor in the Washington/Oregon area for four years during which time he was ordained to the pastoral ministry.  He then accepted an invitation to serve as a United States Air Force chaplain, which allowed him to serve around the world for almost 28 years.

Since Randy became involved in hospice, he has enjoyed working with families of terminal patients, helping the families to find peace, assurance and love during the difficult time of the loss of a loved one.  When the former hospice closed after three years, he was excited to join the team at A Better Way Home where he continues to minister, providing care and compassion to those in need.

Randy was stationed at Mountain Home Air Force Base for four years during his military service, so was drawn back to Boise upon retiring.  He and his wife love the area and all it has to offer.  He has two children and two grandchildren who he loves spending time with, and who keep him and his wife young at heart.

Why should I upgrade to Internet Explorer 7? Microsoft has redesigned Internet Explorer from the ground up, with better security, new capabilities, and a whole new interface. Many changes resulted from the feedback of millions of users who tested prerelease versions of the new browser. The most compelling reason to upgrade is the improved security. The Internet of today is not the Internet of five years ago. There are dangers that simply didn't exist back in 2001, when Internet Explorer 6 was released to the world. Internet Explorer 7 makes surfing the web fundamentally safer by offering greater protection against viruses, spyware, and other online risks.
