Kara Craig is the Co-Owner/Administrator of A Better Way Home Boise Idaho Hospice & Palliative Care organization. Kara has 17 years of executive leadership experience, primarily in the non-profit world.  Most recently, Kara helped with the start up of another hospice in the Boise Idaho & Treasure Valley area. Prior to that she served as CEO of the Children’s Home Society of Idaho, where she helped lead the 100 year old organization to a place of widespread recognition and respect within the southwestern part of Idaho.  She graduated from Pepperdine University in 1990, with a master’s degree in Psychology, which she has been able to apply in a myriad of ways to the business world.

Kara has worked in the health care industry since 1981 in various capacities.  She thoroughly enjoys helping others, and is passionate about shifting her focus to hospice and palliative care. During the physically, socially, emotionally and spiritually challenging times that accompany a terminal diagnosis, she can appreciate the need for a holistic approach, and the comfort hospice and palliative care can bring to a patient and their family.  Having survived Stage IV cancer, and experiencing the loss of a loved one who was helped by hospice, Kara is grateful to have the opportunity to give back in this very special way.

Kara has lived in Boise her entire life, with the exception of the three years she attended graduate school in California.  She has two children who remind her daily how very precious life can be.
